Development of Guidance and Counseling Services to Enhance Student Roles and Responsibilities: Using Podcast Media

This research is based on the problems of some students who still show a lack of awareness of their roles and responsibilities as students as well as complaints about service delivery that is very rarely done and monotonous service methods. This research is a research and development (Reasearch and Development) with the ADDIE development model in which the implementation of this research only reaches the second stage, namely design. This research aims to design counseling services by utilizing podcast media that can be used by counseling teachers to increase awareness of students' roles and responsibilities at school. The data collection technique in this study used a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire using a Likert scale. The data obtained were then analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The products produced in this study in the form of guidance on the implementation of counseling services using podcast media have gone through validation and 2 stages of revision. The results of this study show (1) The media expert test is in the feasible category (76%). (2) the validity test of counseling practitioners is in the feasible category (73.2%). (3) the assessment of counseling teachers as users of the guide is in the very feasible category (92%). (4) student assessment in the limited trial was in the very good category or equivalent to 93.75%. The results of expert validation show that the guidance of counseling services using podcast media to increase student roles and responsibilities is feasible to be implemented with some revisions according to suggestions.
