Efforts to Improve Learning Outcomes of Fourth Grade Students of SDN 23 Palu in IPAS Lessons Through the Use of Concrete Object Media

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SDN 23 Palu in IPAS subjects by using concrete objects media. The research was conducted using the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method consisting of two cycles, each including the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 20 fourth grade students. Data were obtained through learning outcome tests, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the use of concrete objects media was effective in improving student learning outcomes. In cycle 1, the percentage of students who reached the KKM (≥ 70) increased from 50% (initial condition) to 70%. In cycle 2, the percentage increased again to 95%. Thus, this study concludes that concrete objects media can improve students' understanding of IPAS material, so that learning becomes more interesting and effective.
