Writing Guidelines

The Tadulako Journal of Sports Coaching Education and Sports Science accepts original manuscripts resulting from research and scientific studies in the fields listed under ‘Focus’ and ‘Scope’. Submitted articles must be original, unpublished, and not currently under review by another journal. Authors are therefore requested to ensure that sufficient context is provided for all readers to appreciate their contributions. Please read the following submission guidelines carefully: 

A. General Requirements

  • Articles must be original research, systematic literature reviews, or methodological developments in

  • relevantfields.Manuscripts must be written in good and correct Indonesian or English.Articles must not contain

  • plagiarism. All manuscripts will undergo a plagiarism check with a maximum similarity rate of 20%.Manuscripts

  • must be submitted via the OJS (Open Journal Systems) platform on the official JSCESS website

B.  Article Structure

  • Title: maximum 5 words, representing the main content of the article.

  • Full name of the author (without academic titles), institution, and email address of the corresponding author.

  • Abstract: written in Indonesian and English, maximum 200 words. Must include the objectives, methods, main results, and conclusions.

  • Keywords: 3–5 keywords representing the main topic of the article.

  • Introduction: Background, research question, objectives, and research contribution.

  • Methods: Research design, data collection techniques, and analysis methods.

  • Results and Discussion: Presented with tables/figures (where appropriate) and a critical analysis.

  • Conclusions and Recommendations: Must address the research objectives and explain the effectiveness of the results.

  • Acknowledgements (optional) 

  • References must follow the APA 7th Edition citation style. Only include references used in the manuscript (at least 80% from scientific journals published within the last 10 years).

C.  Writing Format

  • The title of the paper must describe the research objectives, methods/models, and aims, without acronyms or abbreviations. The title must be written in Arial 14 and centred.

  • The abstract must be written in 10-point Arial font with single spacing. The abstract must contain the necessary information regarding the manuscript. The abstract must begin with the research objectives/goals, followed by a summary of the methods, results, and implementation. The abstract must not exceed 250 words. Avoid devoting too much space to the introduction or background, as this is not required.

  • Authors are advised to present their articles in the following section structure: Introduction – Methods – Results and Discussion – Conclusion

  • The reference list must include a minimum of 10 sources published within the last 10 years. The reference list should be formatted using APA style, and the use of Mendeley is recommended. This section should also be typed in Times New Roman 12, 1.5 line spacing, left-aligned. The reference list should be arranged alphabetically.
