This study aims to determine the effectiveness of home room technique group guidance services to increase students' self-confidence. The purpose of this study was to increase the self-confidence of students of SMP Negeri 1 Lore Timur through group guidance of home room techniques. Students in this study amounted to 8 people. The instrument used in this research is a student self-confidence questionnaire. Data were processed and analyzed descriptively and inferentially using the Wilcoxon sign rank test formula. The results of the descriptive analysis show that before following the group guidance service home room technique of the 8 students studied, there were 2 or 25% of students who had high self-confidence, there were 5 or 52.5% of students who had low self-confidence and there were 1 or 12.5% of students had very low self-confidence. After participating in group guidance services, the home room technique has increased, namely there are 1 or 12.5% of students who have very high confidence, there are 6 or 75% of students who have high confidence, and there are 1 or 12.5% of students who have low confidence Based on the results of data analysis, it can be proven that group guidance services for home room techniques can affect the level of self-confidence of students at SMP Negeri 1 Lore Timur
