Abstract

Learning occurs because of the interaction between stimulus and response.  At school, learning will be more meaningful if students are directly involved in learning.  One way is to use the problem based learning (PBL) learning model.  The stages in the problem based learning (PBL) learning model are the first stage of student orientation to problems, the second stage of organizing students to learn, the third stage of guiding individual and group investigations, the fourth stage of developing and presenting work, the fifth stage of analyzing and evaluating  .  By using the problem-based learning (PBL) learning model, the learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 19 Dalentang, Pasaman Barat district, were further improved.  This can be seen in the scores of students' cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects.  The number of students who achieved completeness was 22 students from 24 students.  So the number of students who did not complete there are only 2 students.  Data on the implementation of learning using the PBL model can obtain an average score of 93% (B) on student activities and 95% (SB) on teacher activities.
