The Effect of the Use of the Problem Based Learning Model on Student Learning Outcomes in Science Lessons in Grade IV of SD Negeri 0902 Bongbongan

The problem encountered is the low learning outcomes of students in science lessons in class IV SD Negeri 0902 Bongbongan. This is because the learning carried out by the teacher in class is still monotonous and does not use innovative learning models when learning. This study aims to determine the increase in science learning outcomes in class IV after applying the PBL learning model in class IV SD Negeri 0902 Bongbongan. Of the 27 students, in cycle I there were 15 students who were included in the category of complete learning and 12 students who had not completed their studies and in cycle II experienced an increase, namely to 25 students who had completed their studies and 2 students who had not completed their studies. The increase in the average value of student learning outcomes was obtained in the first cycle, which was 66.67, increasing in the second cycle to 83.33 which was included in the good category. Based on student learning outcomes obtained from classroom action research as that using the Problem Based Learning model can improve learning outcomes in class IV SD Negeri 0902 Bongbongan.
