Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects by using a problem-based learning model with the help of concrete media Positive and Negative number cards in terms of: Increasing student learning outcomes. This research is classified as a qualitative descriptive research. The subjects used in this study were mathematics with the material of adding and subtracting integers. The research subjects were sixth grade students of SDN 6 Sindue. Data collection techniques used are observation and interviews. While the data analysis techniques used through several stages, including data collection, data presentation and drawing conclusions. In the learning process students tend to be bored and less interested in the learning process that takes place because the method used is only lecture and monotonous. Therefore, this research was conducted so that students are more active in the learning process. The activeness of students in the learning process also has an important role in improving learning outcomes. The problem-based learning model is a scientific approach and consists of several stages, namely Orienting students to problems, Organizing students to learn, Guiding individual and group investigations, Developing and presenting work, Analyzing and evaluating problem solving processes.
