Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of students' lack of understanding of concepts in teaching materials which has an impact on low learning outcomes of Class V students at SDN 23 Limo Koto Sijunjung Regency for the 2021-2022 academic year, in thematic learning Indonesian language content, there are still students who are less active in activities group discussions, students lack confidence to present the results of their discussions in front of the class and students are embarrassed to ask questions and respond to material that they do not understand.

The research objective was to determine the increase in learning outcomes in this material by applying the Problem Based Learning model with a TPACK-based scientific approach. The research subjects were fifth grade students with a total of 22 students. Data collection techniques used instruments such as written test questions and group assignments, presenting work results and responding to material that had not been understood. Data analysis techniques using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The research success criteria set for student learning outcomes refer to the Minimum Completeness Criteria, namely 75 with 90% classical completeness. The research was conducted in two cycles consisting of one meeting in each cycle. The average student learning outcomes in the pre-cycle reached 68. After applying the PBL model with a scientific approach based on TPACK the average value of student learning outcomes increased to 76 with a completeness of 65% in cycle I and in cycle II the average value increased to 85 , students complete 93%. Based on these data it can be concluded that the PBL model with the TPACK Scientific approach can improve student learning outcomes.
