Improving the Learning Outcomes of Class 2 Students Using the Discovery Learning Model in Learning Indonesian at SD Inpres 1 Talise

Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in Indonesian language subjects through the application of the Discovery Learning model in class II of SD Inpres 1 Talise. This research uses the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method which is carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. The subjects of this research were 25 class II students. Data is collected through tests, observation and documentation, then analyzed descriptively to see improvements in student learning outcomes. The indicator of the success of this research is the achievement of completeness by students who achieve a score of 75 above the KKM (Minimum Completeness Criteria). The research results show a significant increase in student learning outcomes after implementing the Discovery Learning model. The average percentage of completeness of student learning outcomes increased from 36% in the pre-cycle, to 72% in the first cycle, and reached 92% in the second cycle. These findings show that the Discovery Learning model can improve student learning outcomes by encouraging students to be more active in discovering learning concepts independently. It is recommended that the application of the Discovery Learning model in learning continue to be developed and adapted to student needs in order to achieve optimal learning outcomes.
