Using Powerpoint Media Based on the Canva Application to Increase Students’ Learning Motivation

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that learning media still uses the old model with a very simple appearance so that it does not attract the attention of students which results in a lack of student motivation in learning. To overcome this problem the researcher feels it is very necessary to develop digital learning media through this classroom action research.  The aim of this research is to increase students' learning motivation through the use of Powerpoint media based on the Canva application.Classroom Action Research (PTK) was carried out in two cycles, involving 15 students. Data collection method using observation sheets. The research results showed that the average student learning motivation was 46.67% in cycle I and increased to 78.33% in cycle II. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of Powerpoint media based on the Canva application can increase students' learning motivation.
