Application of Problem Based Learning Model in Improving Learning Outcomes of Class Primary School Students

Abstract

This research aims to improve the Pancasila Education learning outcomes of class IV students at SD Negeri 23 Palu through the application of learning models Problem Based Learning  (PBL). Classroom Action Research (PTK) was carried out in two cycles, involving 20 students. The results showed that the average student score increased significantly.  In the first cycle, the level of learning completion reached 70%, while in the second cycle it increased to 95%. PBL is implemented through structured steps, including problem analysis, reflection, and active communication. This model is successful in creating a conducive learning atmosphere, increasing student activity, and facilitating in-depth understanding of concepts. In conclusion, the application of the PBL model is effective in improving students' PPKn learning outcomes, providing meaningful learning experiences, and meeting the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) targets. This research supports the use of PBL to improve the quality of education at the elementary school level.
