Abstract

The problem of this study is the low learning outcomes of students in Class IV SD Negeri Poboya in science subjects, therefore this study aims to improve student learning outcomes in science learning through the Inquiry method in Class IV SD Negeri Poboya. This type of research is a class action research that is carried out in cycles. Based on the results of observations of student and teacher activities and analysis of student learning outcomes, it can be concluded that learning through the inquiry method can improve student learning outcomes in science subjects in Class IV of Poboya State Elementary School. This is indicated by the increase in student learning outcomes from cycle I. Student learning outcomes in cycle I with classical learning completeness of 63% and classical absorption of 64.21% and student learning outcomes in cycle II have increased with classical completeness reaching 100% and classical absorption reaching 88.42%.
