PROFIL KESALAHAN KONSEPTUAL DAN PROSEDURAL SISWA DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL CERITA HIMPUNAN DI KELAS VII SMPN 1 SINIU

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan  mendeskripsikan kesalahan konseptual dan prosedural siswa kelas VII dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita himpunan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Subjek penelitian dipilih tiga siswa dari 25 siswa yang paling banyak melakukan kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita himpunan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) Kesalahan konseptual, siswa banyak melakukan kesalahan konsep seperti tidak memahami konsep selisih himpunan, tidak memahami konsep gabungan dan konsep komplemen. Kesalahan fakta yaitu siswa tidak menuliskan inisial himpunan, siswa tidak merubah informasi soal cerita ke dalam bentuk matematika, salah menuliskan inisial himpunan, dan siswa tidak menuliskan inisial himpunan. (2) kesalahan prosedural yaitu a) siswa tidak menuliskan pemisalan dan hal apa yang diketahui dalam soal cerita, b) siswa tidak menyelesaiakan pengerjaan soal, dan c) siswa tidak menyelesaikan soal dengan langkah-langkah pengerjaan yang benar.

Abstract: This research aim at describing the profile of conceptual and procedural errors made by grade VII in answering word problems of himpunan. This research is a qualitative research. The subject was three af 25 students who made most errors in answering the given questions. The results show (1) conceptual errors, the students did many errors accordance with the concept where they did not understand the differential sets concept, union concept, intersection concept and complement concept. There was also factual error where the students could not distribute the questions into sets symbols which would be operated and error to inscribe the initials of himpunan and they not write the initials of himpunan. (2) procedural error, a) the students did not write complete  analogy and they did not the given detail information and what where being asked,  b) they did not finish to answer the question, and c) they did not know corret steps to answer the questions.
