Author_Guidelines
To ensure that articles submitted to Jurnal DIKDAS: Jurnal Pendidikan Dasar comply with the writing standards, authors are required to follow the guidelines below:
Submission Confirmation
- Articles submitted must not have been previously published or under consideration in other journals.
Language
- Manuscripts must be written in Indonesian.
Submission and Illustrations
- Submit articles as a Word document (2003 version or above) via email attachment.
- Illustrations such as tables, charts, or photographs must be submitted separately in PNG or JPEG format with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
Title
- The title may be written in both Indonesian and English.
- Maximum of 20 words in English and 20 words in Indonesian.
Abstract
- Each manuscript must include an abstract in both Indonesian and English, not exceeding 150 words.
Keywords
- Provide 2–5 relevant keywords, separated by semicolons (;).
Author Information
- Include details about current affiliation, research interests, main publications (maximum of two titles), and the corresponding author’s email.
Article Length
- Manuscripts should be 10–20 pages of A4 size, excluding the abstract, keywords, and references.
- Single spacing, Times New Roman font size 10 pt.
Abbreviations
- Avoid using symbols such as "&".
- Institutional abbreviations (e.g., LIPI, TNI) may be used after first mentioning the full name followed by the abbreviation in parentheses.
Italics
- Book titles and journal names must be italicized.
Names
- The first time a name appears, it must be written in full (e.g., Pramoedya Ananta Toer).
- Articles such as van, de, ter in Dutch names should be capitalized in the full name (e.g., Van der Capellen, Ter Aar).
Dates
- Use the format April 8, 2009 within the text.
- In footnotes or references, use the format 8-4-2009.
Quotation
- Use double quotation marks (" ") for direct quotations.
- Use single quotation marks (' ') for quotations within quotations.
- Long quotations must be separated from the text with indentation, without quotation marks.
Format and Article Structure
- Manuscripts must contain 4000–8000 words, including footnotes and abstracts.
- The manuscript structure must include:
- Title
- Abstract
- Keywords
- Introduction
- Method (for original research articles)
- Analysis and Discussion
- Conclusion
- References
Title
- Written in Times New Roman (14 pt), not exceeding 20 words.
- Include author’s name, affiliation, and email.
Abstract
- Abstract must be clear, concise, and descriptive.
- It should provide a brief introduction to the problem, the purpose of the paper, a statement of methods, and a summary of the results.
- Written in Times New Roman (10 pt), not exceeding 200 words.
Keywords
- Alphabetically arranged, consisting of 2–5 words, separated by semicolons (;).
Introduction
- Clearly states the issue discussed in the manuscript.
- The last paragraph must emphasize the significance of the issue and research objectives.
Method
- Descriptive in nature.
- Mandatory for original research articles.
Analysis and Discussion
- The most important section of the article.
- Results should be presented clearly and concisely, highlighting the key findings.
- Differences between findings and previous studies should be emphasized.
- Analysis and discussion must be separated.
Conclusion
- Must answer the research objectives clearly.
- Do not repeat the abstract or merely describe results.
- Provide clear implications and/or recommendations based on the findings.
References and Citation Style
- Jurnal DIKDAS applies the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th edition citation style.
- Minimum of 25 references required, consisting of:
- 5 international journals
- 15 national journals
- 5 articles from Jurnal DIKDAS
- References must come from the last 10 years to ensure relevance and currency.
- It is recommended to use a reference manager such as Mendeley.
- Only references cited in the text should be included, listed alphabetically at the end of the manuscript.

Authors are required to sign a copyright transfer agreement after the final manuscript has been approved.
