To ensure the quality of articles and to avoid publication ethics violations and plagiarism, the editorial board establishes publication ethics guidelines that must be followed by authors, editors, reviewers, and journal managers. These guidelines follow the standards set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and apply to all parties involved in the publication process in Jurnal DIKDAS.
Author Ethics
- Reporting: Authors must present their research reports honestly, clearly, and completely. Research data must be stored securely and made available if requested.
- Originality and Plagiarism: Submitted manuscripts must be original works, not plagiarized from other sources. All references used must be properly cited.
- Multiple Submissions: Authors must ensure that the manuscript is not under review or published elsewhere. Multiple submissions will be rejected.
- Authorship: Listed authors must have significantly contributed to the research and writing. The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the editorial team.
- Errors in Manuscripts: If any error (names, affiliations, data, or citations) is found, authors must promptly notify the editorial team for correction.
- Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may affect the interpretation of their research.
Editor Ethics
- Publication Decision: Editors are responsible for the final decision regarding manuscript acceptance based on scientific merit, not on non-academic factors.
- Transparency: Editors must ensure that author guidelines are accessible and understandable.
- Manuscript Distribution: Manuscripts should be sent to appropriate reviewers with relevant expertise.
- Objectivity: Editors must act fairly regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, race, or nationality.
- Confidentiality: Manuscript information must be kept confidential and not misused.
- Conflict of Interest: Editors must avoid conflicts of interest in handling manuscripts.
Reviewer Ethics
- Objectivity: Reviewers must provide objective, honest, and unbiased assessments.
- Reference Credibility: Reviewers must ensure that cited references are credible and relevant.
- Confidentiality: Manuscripts under review must be kept confidential and not shared.
- Timeliness: Reviewers must complete their reviews within the given deadline. If unable, they must promptly notify the editor.
- Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must decline the review if a conflict of interest exists.
Publisher Ethics
- Fair Decisions: The publisher must maintain integrity in making publication decisions without bias or personal interest.
- Academic Freedom: Editors and reviewers must have full freedom in carrying out their duties.
- Integrity: The publisher must ensure that the publication process runs transparently, professionally, and ethically.
