PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN SISWA PADA METERI FUNGSI KOMPOSISI DI KELAS XI IPA 1 SMA NEGERI 9 PALU

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi penerapan pendekatan keterampilan proses untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa pada materi fungsi komposisi di kelas XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 9 Palu. Rancangan penelitian mengacu pada desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart, yakni perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi tindakan. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 9 Palu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan keterampilan proses dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa pada materi fungsi komposisi di kelas XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 9 Palu dengan mengikuti tahap-tahap: 1) pemanasan, yaitu kegiatan yang mengarahkan siswa agar siap belajar, meliputi menyampaikan kompetensi dasar, tujuan, apersepsi dan manfaat dari materi yang dipelajari, 2) pengamatan, yaitu kegiatan siswa untuk mengumpulkan informasi, 3) interpretasi hasil pengamatan, yaitu kegiatan siswa untuk menafsirkan informasi yang telah dikumpulkan, 4) peramalan, yaitu siswa menyimpulkan atau memperkirakan berdasarkan hubungan antar informasi dari interpretasi hasil pengamatan, 5) pengkajian, yaitu kegiatan siswa untuk mengetahui hasil peramalan melalui keterampilan menghitung dalam menyelesaikan soal fungsi komposisi, 6) generalisasi penemuan, yaitu kegiatan siswa untuk menyimpulkan rumus fungsi komposisi dari hasil yang telah diperoleh, 7) penerapan, yaitu kegiatan untuk menerapkan rumus fungsi komposisi yang telah diperoleh melalui soal latihan dan 8) komunikasi, yaitu kegiatan siswa dalam kelompok untuk menyampaikan hasil temuan dalam bentuk presentasi.

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to give a description of the implementation of approaching skill the process to improve the understanding of students to the  subject function of composition in class XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 9 Palu. The design of this research refers to Kemmis’ and Mc. Taggarts’ design those are planning,  action, observation and reflection. The subject of study this is class XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 9 Palu. The research results show that the implementation of approaching skill the process can be improve the understanding of students to the subject function of composition in class XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 9 Palu by following these steps: 1) warming, some activities which are direct the students in order to be ready to study, its includes deliver the basic competence, the goal aperseption and the benefit of the subject that has been learned, 2) observation, it is an activity of the students to collect the information, 3) interpretation the result of the observation, is the activity of students to interpret information that has been collected, 4) forecasting, is the concluded or estimate that taken by the students based on the relationship between information of an interpretation from the result of the observation, 5) study, is the activity of the students to know the result of forecasting through skill counting in resolving about function composition, 6) the generalization discovery, is the activity of the students to infer the formula function the composition of the result that has been obtained, 7) the implementation, is the activitiy to implement the formula function of composition that has been obtained through practice problem, and 8) communication, is the activity of students in the group to convey the outcome of the experiment in the form of presentation.
