PENGARUH KEMAMPUAN PENALARAN TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MENYELESAIKAN SOAL CERITA MATERI HIMPUNAN

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan penalaran terhadap kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita materi himpunan pada siswa kelas VII MTs. Alkhairaat Pakuli. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kemampuan penalaran berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita materi himpunan pada siswa kelas VII MTs. Alkhairaat Pakuli. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII MTs. Alkhairaat Pakuli yang terdaftar pada tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan random sampling. Kelas yang menjadi sampel penelitian adalah kelas VII A dan kelas VII B. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes berupa tes kemampuan penalaran dan tes kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita. Data penelitian yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji F dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Hasil pengujian hipotesis penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai F_hitung = 34,14 > F_tabel = 4,11, sehingga H₁ diterima dan H₀ ditolak. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan penalaran berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita materi himpunan.

Abstract: The Aim of this research was to determine the influence of reasoning ability on the capability to solve narrative question of set on Students of VII class in MTs. Alkhairaat Pakuli. The research hypothesis was the reasoning ability influences the capability to solve narrative question of set on Students of VII class in MTs. Alkhairaat Pakuli. The population in this research was the students of grade VII MTs. Alkhairaat Pakuli registered in the 2017/2018 academic. The sampling technique has been done by random sampling. The sampling class was VII A class and VII B class. The data collection was carried out by using reasoning ability test and narrative question solving ability test. The collected research data were analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis techniques. The testing of hypothesis used the F test with a significant level of 5%. The results of the research hypothesis testing showed that the value of F-count = 34.14 > F-table = 4.11. Therefore, H₁ is accepted and H₀ is rejected. Based on these results, it can be concluded that reasoning ability influences the narrative question solving ability.
