STUDY ON STUDENT'S LEARNING MOTIVATION WITH THE APPLICATION OF CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING APPROACH TO CITIZENS LEARNING IN CLASS IX SMPN 12 PALU

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine students' learning motivation by applying the CTL approach to Civics learning in class IX of SMP Negeri 12 Palu. The location in this research is SMP Negeri 12 Palu. The subjects in this study were all students in Class IX of SMP Negeri 12 Palu, namely 58 students, consisting of 26 students in class IXA, and 32 students in class IXB. Data collection techniques used, namely: observation (Observation), and questionnaires. Data analysis in this study was carried out through several steps, namely data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions/verification. The results showed that students' learning motivation by applying the CTL approach to Civics learning in class IX of SMP Negeri 12 Palu was very high.
