PENGEMBANGAN MODUL BERBASIS PROBLEM BASED LEARNING DENGAN KONTEKS BUDAYA JAMBI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KREATIF SISWA PADA MATERI STATISTIKA KELAS VIII SMP

This study aims to develop a mathematics learning module based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) integrated with the Jambi cultural context to enhance students’ creative thinking skills. The research used a 4-D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) Involving eighth-grade students at SMP N 11 Jambi City. Data were collected through interviews, experts validations, teacher and student practicality questionnaires, efectiveness questionnaires, and pretest-posttest creative thinking test. Validation result from material and design experts showed that module was easy to use and understand. The effectiveness test showed a significant improvement in students creative thinking skills, with an average N-Gain score of 0,69 in the moderate category. The module also supports the development of four creative thinking indicators : fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. Based on these findings, the develop Problem Based Learning (PBL) based mathematics module with a jambi cultural context is considered valid, practical, and effective ini enhancing students creative thinking and can serve as a meaningful contextual learning resource in mathematics education.
