Abstract

This paper describes the cooperative learning model of think pair share type as one of the learning components that can determine the success of a lesson. Based on data obtained at SDN Nggawia, through interviews with fourth grade teachers, there are problems in mathematics subjects, namely reducedstudent learning outcomes and appropriate learning models. Therefore, researchers conducted research with the aim of improving student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects at SDN Nggawia by using the following steps, 1) think, 2) pair, 3) share. There is a possibility that after the action is carried out, it is observed that the problem has not been resolved or has not gotten better. This is done repeatedly (cycles) until the problem gets better or is resolved. With data collection techniques. The result of the final study indicate that the think pair share cooperative learning model is very feasible to use. And it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the result of pre-action learning, cycle one and cycle two. In the use of the think pair share learning model, it is effective and suitable for mathematics learning and researches provide suggestions to teachers to develop varied learning models so that students understanding and learning outcomes can increase.
