Abstract

The problem in of this research is whether there is a relationship between learning motivation and the learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SDN 16 Banawa Selatan. This research intends to determine the relationship between learning motivation and student learning outcomes. Sample of this research were 22 students of class V. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation and were analyzed using descriptive analysis. Furthermore, to the hypothesis was tested using the product moment correlation formula. The results reveals that there were 6 students or 27.3% who had very high learning motivation, 15 students or 68.2% who had high learning motivation, and 1 student or 4.5% who had moderate learning motivation. While the classification of learning outcomes shows there are 5 students or 22.7% have very high learning outcomes, 17 students or 77.3% have high learning outcomes. Based on the inferential analysis, it was obtained that r-count was 0.464. This result is calculated in the r-table with a sample size of 22 and a significant level of 5%. Therefore, r-table = 0.423, r-count > r-table or 0.464 > 0.423. Based on the prevalence of quantitative research data, if r-count > r-table then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between learning motivation and the learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SDN 16 Banawa Selatan, with a fairly strong category.
