PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE PAIR CHECK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI FUNGSI KUADRAT DI KELAS X IPA 4 SMA NEGERI 7 PALU

Abstrak

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan deskripsi aktivitas pelaksanaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe pair check dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa pada materi fungsi kuadrat di kelas X  IPA 4 SMA Negeri 7 Palu. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang mengacu pada desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc.Taggart yakni (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) observasi dan (4) refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas X IPA 4 SMA Negeri 7 Palu. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Hasil penelitian (1) persentase ketuntasan belajar klasikal pada siklus I mencapai 61,76% dan mengalami peningakatan pada  siklus II mencapai 79,41%, (2) hasil observasi aktivitas pendidik pada siklus I dan siklusi II berada pada ketegori baik, (3) hasil observasi aktivitas siswa pada siklus I berada pada ketegori baik dan mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II yaitu berada pada ketegori sangat baik. Dari hasil penelitian yang diperoleh maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe pair check dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa pada materi fungsi kuadrat di kelas X  IPA 4 SMA Negeri 7 Palu melalui fase-fase yaitu: (1) bekerja berpasangan, (2) pelatih mengecek, (3) pelatih memberi pujian, (4) pelatih dan penyaji saling bertukar peran, (5) pelatih mengecek, (6) pelatih memberi pujian, (7) pasangan mengecek, (8) perayaan kelompok.

Abstract: The objective of this research is to describe the implementation of cooperative learning model of pair check type that can improve student achievement on the material of quadratic functions in  X IPA 4 Classes SMA Negeri 7 Palu. This research is a classroom action research that refers to Kemmis and Mc. Taggart research design are (1) planning, (2) implementation of action, (3) observation and (4) reflection. The subjects of this study are all students of class X IPA 4 SMAN 7 Palu. This research was conducted in two cycles. The result of the research (1) the percentage of classical learning completeness in the first cycle was reached 61,76% and experienced an increase in the second cycle was reached 79,41%, (2) the result of observations of teacher activities in the cycle I  and cycle II in the good category, (3) the result of observations of students activities in the first cycle in the good category and to have an increase in the second cycle which in the very good category. From the result of the research obtained can be concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning model of pair check type that can improve student achievement by following phases, namely: 1) pair work, 2) coach checks, 3) coach praise, 4) coach and presenters exchange roles, 5) coach checks, 6) coach praise, 7) pair check, 8) team celebrations.Keyword: Cooperative Learning Model, Pair Check, Learning Achievement, Quadratic Functions
