ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN KOGNITIF SISWA KELAS VIII SMPN 1 PALU DALAM MEMECAHKAN MASALAH POLA BILANGAN BERDASARKAN TAKSONOMI SOLO

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh deskripsi tentang kemampuan kognitif siswa dalam memecahkan masalah pola bilangan berdasarkan taksonomi SOLO. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif yang dilaksanakan di kelas VIII.B SMPN 1 Palu. Peneliti menggunakan metode pemberian tes pemecahan masalah berbentuk tes superitem, dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian diambil 3 siswa dari 34 siswa dengan kriteria satu siswa berkemampuan tinggi, satu siswa berkemampuan sedang, dan satu siswa berkemampuan rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam  memecahkan masalah pola bilangan subjek berkemampuan tinggi mencapai 4 indikator taksonomi SOLO yaitu: 1) level unistruktural; subjek dapat menjawab pertanyaan dari soal berdasarkan satu data atau satu informasi yang disediakan oleh soal, 2) level multistruktural; subjek dapat menjawab pertanyaan dari soal berdasarkan dua data atau konsep yang disediakan oleh soal, 3) level relasional; subjek dapat menjawab pertanyaan dari soal berdasarkan data atau konsep serta melihat dan mengadakan hubungan-hubungan antar data atau konsep tersebut, dan 4) level abstrak yang diperluas; subjek dapat menjawab pertanyaan dari soal berdasarkan informasi atau data dari soal dengan menghasilkan prinsip umum yang dapat diterapkan untuk situasi baru. Subjek berkemampuan sedang mencapai 3 indikator taksonomi SOLO yaitu: 1) level unistruktural; subjek dapat menjawab pertanyaan dari soal berdasarkan satu data atau satu informasi yang disediakan oleh soal, 2) level multistruktural; subjek dapat menjawab pertanyaan dari soal berdasarkan dua data atau konsep yang disediakan oleh soal, dan 3) level relasional; subjek dapat menjawab pertanyaan dari soal berdasarkan data atau konsep serta melihat dan mengadakan hubungan-hubungan antar data atau konsep tersebut. Sedangkan, subjek berkemampuan rendah hanya mencapai 1 indikator taksonomi SOLO yaitu: 1) level unistruktural; subjek dapat menjawab pertanyaan dari soal berdasarkan satu data atau satu informasi yang disediakan oleh soal.

Abstract: This research aims to describe the cognitive abilities of students in solving the problem of pattern number based on SOLO taxonomy. The research approach is a qualitative approach implemented in class VIII.B SMPN 1 Palu. The researcher used the methods of giving test problem-solving in the form of superitem test, and interviews. The subjects of the research were 3 out of 34 students with criteria of one high-ability student, one medium-skilled student, and one low-ability student. The results of this research indicate that the ability of high-ability subject to achieve 4 SOLO taxonomic indicators are: 1) unistructural level; subject can answer questions from questions based on one data or one information provided by the question, 2) multistructural level; subject can answer questions from questions based on two data or concepts provided by the question, 3) relational level; subject can answer questions from questions based on suitable data or concepts and view and establish relationships between data or concepts, and 4) extanded abstract level; subject can answer questions from the problem by generalizing to other situations or applying them to other situations. Subject capable of achieving 3 SOLO taxonomy indicators are: 1) unistructural level; subject can answer questions from questions based on one data or one information provided by the question, 2) multistructural level; subject can answer questions from questions based on two or more data or concepts provided by the problem, and 3) relational level; subject can answer questions from questions based on matching data or concepts and view and establish relationships between data or concepts. Meanwhile, low-ability subject only achieved 1 SOLO taxonomy indicator that is: 1) unistruktural level; subject can answer questions from questions based on one data or one information provided by the question.
