This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes and reading literacy skills of fourth-grade students at SD Bala Keselamatan Kalawara. The objective of this research was to improve student learning outcomes through literacy activities in Indonesian language learning. This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were fourth-grade students. Data were collected through learning outcome tests and observation sheets of teacher and student activities. The results showed an increase in teacher activity from 58.75% (sufficient category) in cycle I to 88.75% (very good category) in cycle II. Student activity also improved from 46.73% (sufficient category) to 80.76% (good category). In addition, student learning outcomes increased, although classical completeness in cycle I was still low at 33% with a learning absorption rate of 52.3%. Improvements implemented in cycle II showed more optimal learning outcomes. Therefore, literacy activities are effective in improving student learning outcomes in Indonesian language learning.
