Abstract

The use of interactive learning media becomes one of the innovative alternatives in mathematics learning that presents material visually, interestingly, and interactively. The problem in this study focuses on the application of the media to overcome the lack of learning media in improving the results and learning interest of class V students at SDN 9 Sindue, Palu City. The type of research used is Class Action Research (PTK) with the Kemmis and McTaggart model which is carried out in two cycles, involving 8 students as subjects. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, learning results test, and documentation of learning activities. The results obtained showed an increase in the level of learning achievement from 50% in cycle I to 87.5% in cycle II, with a significant increase in average scores and a significant increase in student enthusiasm and involvement in learning. In addition, this media allows more personal and intensive learning in small classes. Based on the findings, the application of interactive learning media is proven to be effective in supporting the improvement of learning outcomes as well as growing students' interest in mathematics subjects.
